Calgarian On A Walk With No Fire Music To Listen To

How about I let you in on some of the best local Hip-hop for your listening pleasure? Firstly I’ll start by making a disclaimer that these are just *my picks* for the best songs out of Calgary’s Hip-hop scene this year! Also this list is in no particular order! Shout out to all the artists in the city releasing dope music! Calgary’s Hip-hop scene, as of late, has been quite diverse. You can’t really put your finger on what the sound is in the city and I guess that’s a good thing. The rap ranges from melodic to super lyrical, the beats can range from trap, to sample-style, to afrobeats, to incredible acoustic compositions. And let’s not forget about the R&B! So many variations! I think it’s a beautiful thing! Music wise 2020 has been a dope year in the city of Calgary because of these Hip-hop songs:

Myself, Shiro and SOY all spit lyrical verses about how being indoors at the time was affecting us.
